Bringing the world to your bookshelves through translation
Kabaty Press is a micro-press publishing translated fiction and non-fiction. Named after the Warsaw suburb of Kabaty, Kabaty Press’s mission is to make out-of-print or never-translated gems of literature available to a worldwide, English-speaking audience.
When Konstanty Buszczyński travelled to America in 1910, it was the start of a love affair that would culminate in his appointment as the first Polish Consul of New York. Impressions of America is his account of his early voyages, and his musings on the place of the United States in the world.
Never before translated into English, this translation of the 1922 edition by Kasia Beresford is a valuable primary source for historians as well as a lively read.
Available in print and eBook format from your favourite online retailer.
